GENERAL INFORMATION
All
sale cattle will be offered at private treaty.
We will
accept bids on the phone, in person or on the internet.
You must register to bid online. Once registered
Conover Auction will approve your request and you will
receive and email with your login information and BIDDING
NUMBER.
Follow the
directions on the website to bid.
On
September 29, 2008 at 5:00 pm, cdt the final bidding for
each lot will take place. Conover Auction will display
the lot that is being bid off and five minutes will be
allotted per lot.
At this
time text will be displayed on the website as to the lot we
will complete the selling process. The online auction
will allow up to five (5) minutes to submit or call in your
last bids. As the lot nears completion the "LAST CALL"
text will appear and everyone must submit their final bid.
Once the "SOLD" text appears bidding will cease for that lot
and we will go on to the next lot.
Internet bidders will have the option of proxy bidding. This
allows you to input your top bid for the lot you want and
the computer will automatically bid for you. The
computer will automatically place the next bid on the lot
you choose until the bidding stops or until the bidding goes
past your proxy bid
Proxy
bidding is a tool to let you make sure you dont miss the
lot because of a interrupted internet connection or a slow
internet connection. You simply put in the maximum amount
you wish to pay for the lot and allow the computer auto bid
for you.
Bids will be accepted in increments of $200.00
If you are a telephone bidder you must be available by
telephone on September 29, 2008 after 5:00 pm cdt. If you
cannot be reached we will assume you are out of the auction.
If you are an internet bidder, it is up to you to watch the
online auction status. You must be online during auction
hours or you must use proxy bidding. We will try to move
through the lots as rapidly as possible but the telephone
side of the auction sometimes takes considerable time.
If you are registered to bid before the cutoff time, you may
bid on any lot until that lot is sold If the bidding on your
lot goes past your budget, you may bid on any other lot that
has not already sold. If you are bidding on one lot and are
interested in another, please inform us of that fact and we
will try to hold the bidding open on your second choice
until your first choice is sold. This will give you the
opportunity to purchase your second choice if your first
choice surpasses your budget.
Ownership of each calf passes to the high bidder at the
moment a lot is marked Sold on the website or at the
moment we announce the lot as Sold on the telephone.
