Dear Fellow Cattlemen,
It is with great pleasure we
invite you to the 2009
Hawkeye Country Angus Sale
and the opportunity for you
to select from strong
yearling bulls, young
yearling heifers and females
with calves at side backed
by some of the top cow
families and carcass proof
sire groups in the country.
If it has been said once, it
has been said a thousand
times; the only constant in
life is change. This
statement has become
undeniably clear in the past
few years in the cattle
business. As we all know we
are in a period of the
lowest cow numbers in over
fifty years. Now is the time
to position ourselves to
build, for as the country
rebuilds, so will the demand
for the high quality eating
experience provided by Angus
based fed cattle. One of the
great highlights of the past
fifteen months in the cattle
business is the continued
success of the CAB program,
with over 634 million pounds
of CAB merchandised in 2008
and one of the strongest
quarters on record in the
first three months of 2009.
This is an era when the
Angus cow has earned the
reputation as the premier
beef cattle factory all over
the country because she has
the unique ability to excel
in every facet of production
without sacrificing
anything. No other breed can
make this claim. Angus is
the only breed that has the
ability to calve unassisted,
to flourish in any
environment, posses superior
maternal traits and finally
produce a product that the
customer demands.
Many of the sale features
will have a lasting impact
on the future of your herd
and are sure to add value to
your upcoming calf crops.
Throughout the offering you
will find cattle which excel
from calving to yearling,
from growth to carcass, and
are designed with
generations of disciplined
breeding decisions to yield
cattle which are ideal to
thrive in the southern Iowa
and northern Missouri
terrain. The Hawkeye Country
Sale has a long history of
producing genetics that have
gone on to work especially
well for their new owners
and have been very
profitable investments. At
the Hawkeye Country Sale,
the choices are many
the
opportunities are endless
and in a world of change the
future is brighter than ever
before.
Sincerely,
Al Conover & Gary Wall |
