INSPECTION OF CATTLE:
Cattle will be available for inspection after 1:00 PM on
Wednesday, March 24th at the sale site. Prior to that
at the farm.
HEALTH:
All cattle will be accompanied by proper health certificates
for immediate shipment from Dr. Jim Wasson, Armour Vet,
Armour, SD.
Phone: 605-724-2457. The bulls have been fertility examined. All animals are on a comprehensive vaccination program this includes spring, late summer shots as recommended by our veterinarian. All hefiers are guaranteed open and have been bangs vaccinated. Arthrogryposis Multiplex or (AM) also known as curly calf syndrome and Neuropathic Hydrocephalus (NH) are genetic defects that have been discovered in the ANgus breed. A DNA test has been developed for both defects. Lau Angus bulls and heifers are AM & NH Free by test or pedigree.
GUARANTEE & SEMEN INTEREST:
We guarantee all animals by sound and fertile, but reserve the right to test any animal that is returned to the farm as a non-breeder for 90 days before making an adjustment. In the even of an adjustment, a replacement of equal value or credit on the purchase of another animal will be made at the original purchase minus $1000 (salvage value at time of purchase). Bulls are guaranteed for a 90-day breeding season, excluding death or leg fractured. All claims must be made by September 1, 2010. This is not a mortality insurance policy nor does it cover mismanagement or neglect. Lau Angus is retaining 1/3 semen interest in all bulls selling.
TERMS &
CONDITIONS:
All cattle sell according to the standard terms and
conditions of the American Angus Association.
CARCASS EPDS & VALUES: The American Angus Association is now calculating Carcass EPDs on a weekly basis using all available carcass harvest data, ultrasound data and the Igenity Angus specific genomic profile data. It is possible new data has been submitted between the date the catalog wwas finalized and sale day, which will affect the individual Carcass EPDs and $Values indexes of the animals selling. If your purchasing decision relies highly on the most current carcass data available, please look up animals of interest on the American Angus Association web page prior to viewing the sale offering.
TRUCKING:
$50 off if bull is taken home sale day. We offer
FREE delivery to neighboring states. We will be glad to assist in making the best possible
trucking arrangements. If bulls are not taken home sale day they will be left at the ranch at the buyer's risk.
BOARDING:
We offer free boarding of just the bulls until April 15th We
will take the bulls back to the ranch and semen check them
and begin delivering after April 15th. Please make
arrangements with Joel on boarding your bulls.
INSURANCE:
Will be available sale day through Conover Auction Service,
an American Livestock Insurance.
LIABILITY:
All persons attending this sale do so at their own risk,
legal or otherwise for their safety or the behavior of the
animals. The Owners, Auction Service and Sale Staff
assume no liability for property loss or any accidents that
may occur.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
From the block will take precedence over the catalog.
Buyers unable to attend may send their bids to the Auction
Service, Field Representatives or Auctioneer.
