The 35th Annual Minnesota Simmental Association
annual meeting, banquet and state sale was held
on February 22 & 23, 2008. Friday kicked off
with the annual meeting of both the Jr & Sr
associations followed by the annual banquet
which included the crowing of the new 2008 queen
Theresa Claeys, traveling bell awarded to John &
Rita Volz, MJSA outstanding Sr award to Peter &
Ila Courtney and a fundraising auction for the
Jr & Sr association. The events on Saturday
started with a parade of cattle, the awards for
county fair winners and the 35th annual Sale.
Quality was especially high this year as 55 lots
traveled through the sale ring for a $3045
average.
