off Bismarck Expressway on the southeast
corner of Bismarck. From I 94 take the
Bismarck Expressway exit (exit 161), go
south on Bismarck Expressway 2.3 miles to
Apple Creek Road. Go left on Apple Creek
Road 0.4 miles to Farmers Livestock.
Area Motel: The North Dakota State High
School Wresting Tournament is in Bismarck
the same weekend as our sale. We recommend
making room reservations right away. Please
request the Effertz Key Ranch block of
rooms.

is a combined index of a terminal cross
sires value in a retained ownership
scenario and predicts carcass yield, feedlot
gain and final carcass weight, the most
economically significant criteria for
profit.
Registration Papers: Most bulls are
registered with the American International
Charolais Association or the American Salers
Association. Their registration numbers
appear in the catalog.
Pedigrees: For those buyers interested
in viewing a complete pedigree on the sale
bulls contact us and we will mail, fax or
email pedigrees on any bulls requested. Or
go online at

registration number and view the pedigree.
Full pedigrees on all bulls will be
available at the sale.
Insurance: Will be available at the

Herd Health:
The sale cattle are
up-to-date on the Effertz Key Ranch health
program as follows: calves were vaccinated
for IBR, BVD, Somnagen, 7-way, BRSV Syncial
Virus, PI3 and treated with Dectomax. Our
vet will be on hand to write interstate
health certificates.
Feed:
We will winter the bulls at
cost.
Financing:
Our popular half now, half
later financing will be offered again this
year. Pay half sale day and half when you
pick up your bull or by April 1, whichever
comes first, interest free until April
1.
Trucking:
We will assist in making
trucking arrangements to minimize your cost.
Bring your trailer sale day and receive a
$50 per bull discount.
Guarantee:
Effertz Key Ranch bulls
sell fully guaranteed. Yearling bulls are
guaranteed to pass a semen test at turnout
time. Please refer to the terms and
conditions on page 16.
Final Performance:
Yearling weights,
ADG, WDA, scrotal measurements, REA and
Profit Index will be available on our
website February 5. Tenderness scores and
Leptin scores will be available on many of
the bulls. Visit:
